The fertile dark clay soil of the Texas Blackland Prairi (http://en NULL.wikipedia NULL.org/wiki/Texas_blackland_prairies)e is amongst the riches in the world. Like the cotton, corn, prairie grasses, Post Oaks and Junipers, that thrive here, it is our goal at the Blackland Reporter to plant a seed that will grow to serve the communities and citizens that live on the east side of Austin with a platform to share ideas, stories, and news.
The Blackland Reporter is published in Manor by people born and raised on the Blackland Prairie we so proudly take our name from. We will work to serve the communities of Coupland, Del Valle, Elgin, Webberville, and Elory but we will never forget the Blacklands runs from the Red River in North Texas to San Antonio to the south and will bring you news and events from the region.
We always want to hear from you and would be proud to feature your events or organization so feel free to contact us. Email is always best.
